If the Continuity Passport is the record that travels, the Buddy is the companion that travels: the same friendly face on day one at every new school. A child feeds and cares for it by learning, it grows as they do, and it keeps pointing them back to the real people in their life.
Answer a grade-matched question (4 + 6), and the Buddy gets a treat. Learning is the only currency of care, and it always feels encouraging, never like a test. A wrong answer gets a gentle hint and another try, never a penalty.
It starts at the child's grade and adjusts to keep them in the just-right zone, from arithmetic to fractions to algebra. It is practice and habit, a supplement to school, never a replacement for it.
Every hard feeling routes outward. The Buddy's answer is often to tell someone you trust, and it surfaces a real adult: a parent, a teacher, or the child's Stillby Navigator.

This is a children's product that touches learning, feelings, and data. We designed it for the strictest bar from day one, and we say plainly what it is and what it is not.
The core is authored, curriculum-bound content. Any AI is tightly sandboxed and reviewed, never a free-form emotional companion.
Every emotional moment routes toward a real, trusted human, with a clear escalation path where a child may be in danger.
Verifiable parental consent for under-13, minimal data, no selling data, no behavioral ads. Never immigration status.
The app says plainly that the Buddy is not a person, in line with California SB 243, New York, and Utah HB 452.
