Trust is the whole job. So here, in plain language, is how we treat a family's information and their story.
Not on a form, not in a conversation, not ever. It is none of our business, and asking would put families at risk. Our only question is whether a child needs someone to stay.
Anyone who works with children is legally required to report suspected abuse or neglect. We say this to families before we begin, not after. No surprises, no hidden rules.
The record that travels with a child belongs to the family, not to us. They decide what it holds and who sees it. We are the keepers of it, not the owners.
We ask only what helps a child stay known: their school history, their plan, and what the next caring adult needs to understand about them. Nothing more.
This is a plain-language summary, not the full legal policy. [Full privacy policy under review by counsel.]
